    Reporting to the UDRI Executive Director, the Associate Director (AD) of business development, security and infrastructure provides senior leadership for a broad range of business operations to ensure the efficient and effective administrative support of research programs. These include the effective execution of large, multi-division programs; growth/oversight of UDRI's classified programs; UDRI infrastructure security, planning and development; and UDRI laboratory safety. The AD will also support UDRI divisions and sponsored programs by providing oversight of large FFP and congressionally mandated sponsored programs; enhancing collaborations across UDRI. In addition, the AD will perform in-depth analyses of UDRI’s business to support strategic decision making by the Executive Director.


    Minimum Qualifications

    1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
    2. 7 years of progressive experience in business development, research operations or growing and managing diverse business functions, with at least five years in an organization of comparable size and complexity to UDRI
    3. 2 years of supervisory experience of business functions
    4. Demonstrated experience with, and deep understanding of Federal government contracting, bid and proposal, program management, customer relations, security and compliance
    5. Demonstrated experience with and understanding of current business processes/systems related to sponsored research, with emphasis on federal procurement
    6. Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
    7. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
    8. Experience working collaboratively on teams and with external partners and customers

    The IT Cyber-Security Engineer identifies threats and vulnerabilities in systems and software, applies their skills to developing and implementing high tech solutions to defend against hacking, malware and ransomware, insider threats and all types of cybercrime.

    The incumbent provides security monitoring and incident response services required by the City, in alignment with the mission to protect digital assets to a level of confidentiality, integrity and availability commensurate with the threat to those assets and their value to the City’s operation. The IT Cyber-Security Engineer acts as an internal expert on matters relating to intrusion detection and incident response, provides a coordinated response to complex cyber-attacks that threaten the City’s assets, intellectual property, and computer systems.
