    Norwood Medical is a dynamic and growing medical component manufacturing company located in Dayton, OH. We are seeking a motivated and innovative Process Engineer to join our New Product Development (NPD) group.

    In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for new medical devices and components. You will collaborate closely with R&D, design, and quality teams to ensure products are manufacturable, efficient, and meet stringent quality standards.

    Responsibilities Include:

    •         Develop and deliver innovative and cost-effective CNC machining/manufacturing processes for new components including machine, process, fixture, and tooling selection.
    •         Develop and debug new processes to meet customer and company required process capabilities and company cost targets. 
    •         Represent Process Engineering team and provide manufacturing expertise to overall new product development and operational teams, including quality team, program management team, prototype team and sales team.
    •         Work with customer New Production Development teams and purchasing teams, providing feedback for design for manufacturability and process selection.
    •         Develop procedures, proper documentation and create and execute training programs to maintain process control.
    •         Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to gain support and report progress to all stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    •      4-year degree in Engineering and 5 years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
    •          Strong ability to communicate technical solutions or issues with both external and internal customers.
    •         Experience in manufacturing environment is required.
    •         Strong background in metal cutting including CNC machining centers, Swiss lathes, or CNC mill turns is preferred.
    •         Experience in metal forming is preferred.
    •         Experience with secondary processes including laser welding, cleaning, passivation, burr removal, electropolish, electrochemical machining or assembly is preferred.
    •         Experience with solid modeling or 2D modeling software is preferred.
    •         Experience with process related data analysis and statistical process control is preferred.

    Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems. Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with cross-functional teams. Provide specialized expertise in particular areas of electrical engineering and participate in advanced development projects.

     

    ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

    • Oversees the design and development of electrical systems and components.
    • Ensures that designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field and 6+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of both. Good working knowledge and application of DFSS tools and methodologies with DFSS Green Belt certification or better.

     

    COMPETENCY and/or SKILL: 

    • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, theories, and concepts
    • High level understanding of analog and digital circuits, power systems, microcontrollers, and signal processing
    • Experience in providing technical direction and oversight to project teams
    • Proficiency in using relevant software tools for design, simulation, and analysis of electrical systems
    • Can effectively communicate technical strategies and decisions to executives
    • Able to provide technical review expertise across functional areas

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

     

    ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

    • Verifies dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specification using precision measuring instruments including, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, profilometers, and electronic voltmeters.
    • Aligns, fits, and assembles component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates.
    • Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures executing gage R/R (MSA’s).
    • Performs setups, programming, and operation of coordinate measuring machines or equivalent machines.
    • Provides training and assistance to staff on coordinate measuring machines (or equivalent).
    • Provides direction for the quality technicians regarding inspection best practices, technical development, and general process improvements.
    • Works with product development to develop inspection plans on new products prior to launch.
    • Inspects and releases finished product (finished devices, sub-assemblies, and components) upon ensuring that the acceptance criteria was met.
    • Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performances, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
    • Prepares graphs, charts of data, or enters data into computer for analysis.
    • Performs and or controls the calibration of test equipment.
    • Performs fixture and tooling validation.
    • Sets up quality module for identified measurements per the inspection plans.

     

    SECONDARY DUTIES:

    • Inspects parts and products returned after distribution to the field.
    • Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
    • Supports ERP system transactions to support returned goods, incoming inspection, and shipping/receiving.
    • Assists in disposition of MRB and FAI parts.
    • Evaluates device history records.
    • Performs in process audits to verify process control.
    • Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and at least 5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. ASQ certifications preferred.

     

    COMPETENCY and/or SKILL:

    • CMM knowledge preferred
    • Experience with an ERP system
    • Basic math skills and ability to draw and interpret charts/graphs
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with blueprint reading
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Analytical thinking skills
    • Ability to understand and follow directions

    General Description:  The Computer Networking & Cybersecurity Instructor will provide instructional activities which are consistent with the objectives of the Business Education and/or Computer Network Engineering curriculum and the MVCTC in general.  The instructor will direct the learning experiences of the students, including skill development, human relations, and the leadership qualities which are necessary to obtain gainful employment.  Business Professionals of America is an integral part of the curriculum and the instructor will be expected to guide the BPA program.  The Computer Networking & Cybersecurity Instructor will report to the Elective, Business, Information Technology and Agriculture Supervisor.
     
    Qualifications:
    1. Must meet all the requirements governing teacher education and certification. Network Systems or Computer Network Technology licensure preferred.
    2. Successful candidate must possess or successfully complete employer-offered Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) training and maintain certification. This same requirement may exist for additional industry certifications as needed by the district.
    3. Must possess interest in young people
    4. Possess good knowledge of software and computer applications
    5. Ability to plan and implement lessons based on program and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned
