    Summary of Job Duties

    Works on tier III (advanced level) helpdesk tickets ensuring problem resolution and customer satisfaction. Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; Escalates application problems to vendors to ensure reliability availability of systems.

    Performs system upgrades in collaboration with internal staff and external service providers. Works with vendors and other team members to perform/support application configuration and setup. Oversees, and may mentor and/or provide guidance to less senior level analysts in the preparation, maintenance, retrieval, and imports of application data. Provides user training, plans and coordinates testing with departments surrounding system/applications; may mentor and/or provide guidance to less senior analysts in the performance of the above activities. Assists application team with debugging and optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures. May contribute to the development of SQL Server database configurations, installations, upgrades, capacity checks, backups, and administrative tasks

    Conducts preliminary investigations and research for project requests. Develops project scopes, creates business requirements, and makes recommendations for the continuous improvement of business processes and procedures. Conducts interviews with stakeholders and performs needs analysis. Analyzes current available third-party systems to determine compatibility with and adaptability to the users’ needs and the County’s technical capabilities. Creates and maintains SQL and PowerShell scripts. Updates scripts as needed for new processes. Query Databases when needed. Provide backup to other BCC IT lead analysts according to organizational need.

    Leads project team in design, implementation, and support of enhancements to BCC IT systems. Oversee the scope of work, translate technical issues, and oversee tests and validation on projects, advises the PMO, senior technical staff, stakeholders and IT managers as needed of updates, plans and implementation status to ensure the success of projects. Reports progress and escalates issues to management as appropriate. Other duties as assigned by department.

    Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

    A related Bachelor's degree with 4 years of progressive IT experience OR a related Technical/Associate's degree with 8 years of progressive IT experience OR education, training and/or experience in an amount equal to the minimum qualifications stated above.

    Position Summary

    End-User Computing provides technical support to the Dayton Campus, the regional Learning Centers, Courseview, MVRP and the College Resource Centers.

    Technicians provide first-level support for desktop hardware: PCs, Macs, printers, scanners, podiums, copiers and Sinclair issued accessories.  They provide second level support for the campus Help Desk, Windows Operating Image and Office Applications for the users.  

    This position supports over 6,000 computers used by faculty, staff and students at the Sinclair Community College (SCC) Dayton campus.  In addition, we support over 1000 computers at all off-campus locations. This includes installation, maintenance and support of all hardware, software, and infrastructure necessary for faculty, staff and students to complete their work.

    The salary range for this position is $43,940 – $58,586 and is determined commensurate with experience.

    Summary

    The Service Desk Technician’s role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks.                          Record, track, and document the service desk incident-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made and actions taken, through to final resolution

                         Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting

                         Research solutions through internal and external knowledgebase as needed

                         Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization

                         Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level when remote tools are not appropriate, including hardware repairs, delivery of peripherals, or other fixes as determined

                         Deploy pre-packaged software using distribution tools and processes as requested by end users

                         Test fixes to ensure an incident has been adequately resolved

                         Develop help sheets and FAQ lists for end users

                         Contribute to technician knowledgebase as needed

                         Reinforce SLAs to manage end-user expectations

                         Provide suggestions for continual improvement

    Education and/or Experience

    Formal Education & Certification

    ·         College degree in the field of computer science and/or equivalent work experience

    ·         Relevant technical certifications

    Knowledge & Experience

    ·         Knowledge of basic computer/printer hardware

    ·         Experience with desktop and server operating systems, included but not limited to Windows 10/11, Mac OS, Windows server 2016/2022

    ·         Extensive application support experience to include O365, MS Teams, MS office suite, Windows Active Directory, Azure as well as SharePoint.  

    ·         Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities: service desk ( Zendesk, Connectwise), RMM ( Ninja, Go Anywhere), MDM (Intune).

    ·         Beneficial skills but not required: exposure to JD Edwards E1, LastPass, Veeam, Kandji and MFA application (Duo, MS Authenticator, Yubikey)

    ·         Familiarity with the fundamental principles of ITIL Service Management

    ·         Exceptional written and oral communication skills

    Summary: The EnterpriseOne (E1) Business Analyst works with IT and the business to improve business processes and resolve system issues. They work to re-engineer EnterpriseOne or other business systems to increase user productivity. They are the key business systems solution liaison for all Business Users.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Work with IT and Business User team on:

    o Systems issue or change requirements gathering,

    o Perform E1 set-up, configuration, or business process analysis,

    o Review desired system changes presented by the Business Team,

    o Documents a formal System Change Request (SCR) & workflow,

    o Present Systems Change Requests to IT Leadership for review/approval,

    o Provides an E1 development specification for estimation (time & cost),

    o Works with business to perform & document ROI for Change Requests,

    o Performs unit testing of approved change requests in test environment,

    o Hands-off successfully tested changes to business for UAT,

    o Receives formal UAT sign-off from business,

    o Formally recommends moving business changes to E1 Production

    • Understands EDI technology, terminology, topology, and protocols. Understands EDI transactional processes within E1.
    • Works with a subject matter expert (SME) from each Business functional area to participate in a Business System Review Team to review and prioritize system change requests.
    • Understands "as-is" E1 business processes and desired “to-be” process the Business Team wishes to deploy.
    • Handles assigned Helpdesk Tickets related to E1 or other integrated applications that require support and resolution.
    • Works on large scale systems projects related to EnterpriseOne, or other Bolt-on applications that require operational input and activities.
    • Helps Identify & prioritize process optimization opportunities that reduce cost, complexity or increase productivity.

    Education and/or Experience

    • BS or BA Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent related work experience.
    • Minimum of two (2) years as an EnterpriseOne Business Analyst.

    Broad knowledge of E1 General Accounting including but not limited to:

    o Accounts Receivable

    o General Ledger

    Language Skills
