PLEASE NOTE LOCATION CHANGE

Montgomery Co Employment Opportunity Center, 4303 W. Third St, Dayton, OH 45417

Mentors:

Jessica Kathman - What is your "stinky fish"? The discussion will explore what is holding us back from the next level personally and/or professionally.

Katie Meyer - Authenticity and Grit, This discussion will explore the concepts of fitting in versus belonging, how we bring our full selves to work, and grit as in how we show perseverance in the face of obstacles.

Angela McArthur - How do you find and create advocacy for yourself and from and through others

Subhashini Ganapathy - Why should you differentiate yourself? This topic will explore how to seize opportunities, why and how to differentiate yourself.

Emily Miller - Create Two-Way Communication Between Managers & Team Members. In this session we will discuss a unique approach to developing a process for two-way communication between managers and their direct reports. There are many tools that provide managers with a framework for how to foster a rich, collaborative, and honest discussion with their employees. However, it's rare to find frameworks that set the communication norms necessary for employees to feel empowered to initiate those discussions.

Wendy Roop - Resilience Building, This discussion will explore "I know I should take time for myself and give myself space and more grace but I'm not doing it. What's it costing me to not take this time to do so?"
