Technology First is partnering with The Greentree Group to bring you Cybersecurity - The Human Factor

Speaker: David Babcock, Principal, Greentree Group

It’s no longer enough to think a protected infrastructure makes us cyber secure; we must also address the human factors of cybersecurity.  So, please participate in discussing our Top 10 ‘Blooper’ list, as we combine humor and education to mitigate the risks of employing real live humans while maintaining an effective cyber program.  It’s proven quite effective for us, and we hope it brings some value to you as well.

Dave is a Principal with the Greentree Group, an IT-focused company headquartered in Beavercreek, OH.  Dave joined Greentree after serving 30 years in the United States Air Force, mostly in financial management, intelligence, and IT leadership positions.  Though he has a Bachelor’s in Accounting (graduating Summa Cum Laude) and an MBA, he’s transitioned to the IT-world because humans bring him, and his awesome staff of professionals, plenty of work to keep them busy.   Though he leads a staff with multiple CISSPs who protect system infrastructures from outsider attacks, he - and his Team - have been successful in mitigating the insider threat perpetrated by inquisitive humans being…well…human.  When Dave’s not working IT or cybersecurity issues, he also serves on two corporate boards, serves as a Council Member in his municipality, and plays drums in the Praise Band at his church.  Additionally, he and Connie, his wife of 39 years, have hosted 7 foreign exchange students over the years.
