Miamisburg Career Expedition Day

Please consider registering for Miamisburg Career Expedition Day!  We have 350 seventh graders that are eager to learn about your career.

Our aim for the Career Expedition Day is to ignite curiosity through interactive activities at each station, encouraging discussion and further inquiry.   You will have five group rotations of 10-12 students per group for approximately twenty minutes each. Students will be grouped based on their career interests. 

Engaging activity examples include:  

• Banking industry:  Budget game
• Engineering: Puzzle or problem that the students can solve build a simple structure using legos
• EMS/ Medical:  Hands on opportunities for students to work with equipment, bring your ambulance!
• Food Service:  How to calculate % of food ordered each week
• Construction:  Use of hammers and nail or other small hands on experience
• Military:  Have them try on helmets, vests, tools you use etc.. and explain what value they bring.

Details of the event will be shared in early November,  We anticipate that set up will begin at 8:15 AM and the day will end before 2:00.
