Data Visualization for Business Performance

Ten years ago, most companies primarily used Excel for data analytics and reporting. During the past few years, we have seen more and more companies switch to Power BI for data analytics and visualization. Power BI allows users to interact with the data, drill through summary pages into details and find answers to their data-related questions. During this session, we will present sample reports used at a law firm, explain the value of using Power BI over Excel (and vice-versa), then answer any questions you may have.

Speaker: Peter Qumsiyeh, WilmerHale

 Peter Qumsiyeh has been with WilmerHale for almost 12 years. Since day one, Peter has used reports and data visualizations to optimize business performance. During his first few years with WilmerHale, Peter was very involved with IT Workplace Support. He analyzed Help Desk tickets to understand trends and resolve customer issues collectively as opposed to one at a time. Then, Peter was part of the team that started the Matter Management initiative, creating reports and dashboards for lawyers displaying their billable hours, dollars and budgets. Mostly recently, Peter was promoted to a Sr. Practice Solutions Analyst, further utilizing his skills and firm data knowledge to create and maintain reports and visualizations used by attorneys and staff as part of their practice of law.
