Vandalia Butler along with a host of other partners will be hosting the Greater Dayton College & Career Fair on Oct. 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Please review this email for more information as they are still looking for partners to have a presence. Please pass this along to any of your members that would like to buy a table!
"We are hosting an event at Butler High School on October 24, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm. The idea behind this event is to bring everyone together to allow students to start connecting career paths with post high school education. By attending this event you will have the opportunity to:
- Advertise/Search for Immediate Employment Talent
- Help attendees to connect career fields to post high school education/training opportunities
- Educate attendees on internship and/or Co-op opportunities
- Apprenticeship Opportunities
There is a $150 registration fee. This will help to cover the costs of the event like table rentals, promotional materials etc. The deadline to register will be October 10th, 2023. Once you register you will want to create an account in StriveScan. The registration fee covers the cost of this portal. StriveScan allows you to create a virtual business card as well as the attendees with all their contact information. A QR code will be produced for the students and they will scan in at your table. After the event is over you will receive all the data of the individuals that visited your business as well as the attendees will receive an autogenerated email that encourages them to reach out to you for additional information. In order to register for the event you will need to go to: OACAC Sponsored College Fairs - OACAC Choose Butler High School. This system looks like you are signing up as a college but you will be able to sign up. These events have not been run like we are running it so the sign up process language is all based on colleges.
