Speaker Bio: Navaid Khan has been working in the Networking (Telco/IOT/Data Center/ Enterprise) industry for 20 years and had the fortune to work for some of the big blue chip companies as well as start-ups.
He comes with a background particularly focused around Operational Support Systems and Business Support Systems. In his time at British Telecom, Ericsson, Agilent and Tellabs he's developed a very thorough understanding of how wireless, fixed line and high performance IP MPLS core networks work, he's designed enterprise application solutions for data centers, managed vendors and overseen the end to end lifecycle of solutions in CSP environments.
Recently he has taken all his Telco industry experience and applied it to Big Data and Analytic solutions - these are solutions that take real-time streaming data from a Telecom network, IOT sensors, machines and deliver insights that enable better decisions making using machine learning algorithms to predict a failure of a device and optimal time for replacement or managing large machine assets optimally to deliver efficient operations are many of the use cases he has worked in his varied customer facing roles.
Navaid joined Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) in December, 2014 as Chief Architect supporting the Telecom Analytics vertical for the Live Insight for Telecom offering. Before joining HDS Navaid was at AT&T as a Lead Solution Architect on Big Data solutions for AT&T external solutions. Prior to AT&T Navaid was a Lead Solution Architect at Guavus (a start up) delivering Streaming Analytics solutions to Verizon and involved in RAN Analytics, IOT, M2M, Device Analytics and Subscriber/Content Analytics projects.
