Summary:

The End User Compute Manager is responsible for overall EUC management for the Speedway organization operating as a tower within IT Infrastructure & Deskside Services. This role is responsible for delivery of End User Computing services, technologies, processes, roadmap and strategy that is positively impactful to the enterprise productivity. The EUC team will be accountable for 10,000+ employee’s computing and mobile devices for corporate and remote users. This role will provide vision for enabling the continuous delivery of superior support for infrastructure’s internal customers.

In addition, this position is responsible for project management for large initiatives, developing knowledge base training and consultation, and recommendations for future planning and development of IT resources.

This role will lead daily support and ongoing improvement opportunities for the Office 365 toolset as well as collaboration solutions, Intune, and other EUC technologies; with responsibilities for effective delivery and operational support for PC imaging, packaging and software distribution. Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure & Deskside Services, this is a highly visible and user facing role requiring leadership and partnership with IT and Business functional areas.

Responsibilities:

Supervises, hires, trains, evaluates, motivates and mentors a team of up to 10 IT professionals specializing in end user services, enhancements, deployments, and third-level support

Deliver value optimization through driving adoption of EUC technology investments

Lead and drive continuous improvement opportunities in end user computing and mobile experience

Build strong internal customer relationships to ensure we are aligned to customer and business needs while prioritizing key initiatives

Maintain a payment card industry complaint infrastructure environment; support annual internal and external audits and maintain necessary change management and documentation

Manage an endpoint software distribution solution that encompasses modern imaging, packaging, and software deployment best practices leveraging Microsoft’s cloud suite

Deliver and manage the Intune mobile device management functionality for personal and company issued devices

Maintain awareness of changing IT trends and regulations which might impact the company and develop strategies that will mitigate any incoming risks and/or take advantage of any future benefits

Assess upcoming technologies and recommend innovative use of new features and technologies related to desktop management with the objective of enhancing end user experience

Work within established configuration and change management policies ensuring awareness, approval and success of changes made to the areas of responsibility

Provides and coordinates weekly software and hardware release plans to support business activities as well as IT deployment and project needs

Provides guidance and direction on problems, solutions, system parameters and modifications; conducts operational walkthroughs to ensure completeness, accuracy, and efficiency of systems, programs or solutions to business problems

Responsible for evaluating, negotiating, and implementing enterprise solutions

Develops acceptance test specifications for new systems and/or enhancements to existing systems

Proposes changes in operations and/or established systems in an effort to enhance controls or improve efficiencies through better use of technology

Accountable for contract negotiations with vendors to maximize return on investments as well as development of Statements of Work to cover needs of project deliverables

Responsible for identifying resource needs and leveraging staff augmentation to obtain the skill sets needed to scale based on forecasted workloads

Ability to work with a team of peers to ensure project and directional alignment within the infrastructure department.


Minimum Requirements

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree
Experience Requirements:

10+ years of overall work experience
5+ years professional IT supervision experience
Microsoft O365, Intune, and Collaboration Services experience a plus
Experience leading leaders is a plus
Skill Requirements:

Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications

Excellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issues

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and track multiple projects concurrently

Excellent project management skills and ability to keep projects on target and within budget

Proficient knowledge in computer hardware and software systems and remote support

Excellent understanding of intra-department functions and operations

Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching

Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
