Job Description JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing, advancing and auditing security policies/procedures in the areas of secure application design, development and testing, and vulnerability management/remediation with a wide variety of product and application development teams. Works in guiding development teams through the transformation and maturation of protected IoT and Cloud/Hybrid based solutions to ensure appropriate data and application components are secure for eventual security certification. Responsible for the administration and maintenance of information security design requirements and assessing that Midmark solutions meet HIPAA/HITECH, ISO210017 and other related security policies, standards, and procedures. Leads security definition and compliance efforts with minimal supervision.

- Assist the Midmark leadership team in the strategic planning of information security policies and procedures in relation to delivering IoT and Cloud/Hybrid based solutions and services
- Work closely with Midmark IT and product development teams to assist in the definition of Midmark’s Cloud/Hybrid architecture and ensure information security and protected cyber security capabilities are in place
- Conduct compliance reviews to assess risk exposure of proprietary data administered through systems and applications
- Lead, assist and/or execute simulated attacks or security violations to assess the data and application security measures
- Help develop and implement information and cyber security tools, techniques, and procedures
- Assist development teams in validating results of vulnerability and penetration tests to then identify remediation steps or compensating controls for found vulnerabilities
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise from security-related issues
- Track security violations and identify trends or exposures that could be addressed by additional training, technical measures, or use of application tools to enhance security
- Understand, develop, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation procedures

- Provide knowledge and best practice information to other groups engaged in oversight of the Midmark security and electronic data privacy programs
- Participate and guide application security development training initiatives
- Keep current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits as well as applicable regulations
- Lead by example with professional attitude, and high personal and business integrity

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science Information Technology, Engineering or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
- Three (3) to five (5) years of information security experience with an emphasis on software development and secure coding techniques
- Three (3) years development experience with web and mobile development platforms and languages such as C#, Java, HTML, XML or similar technologies
- Experience in the development and security compliance of healthcare related software solutions applying HIPAA/HITECH and ISO210017 standards

- Applied knowledge of information and cyber security principles and their application in Cloud/Hybrid based solutions
- Experience in cloud security compliance using Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) applying Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions
- Familiarity with Agile Development Methodology and related principles (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
- Ability to work with others to solve challenging technical problems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for developing relationships with individuals and teams across the company ranging from technical product teams to senior leadership
